Excerpts from The Almanack of Naval Ravikant

Valuing your time doesn't mean you can't relax and enjoy life. As long as you're doing what you want to do, you're not wasting time. But if you're not spending your time on what you want to do, and you're not making money or learning anything, you should ask yourself what you're busy with.

When you are happy, others will be happy too. "When you are happy, others will ask you how you became happy, and they will learn something from it, but you have no responsibility to make others happy."

Money is how we transfer wealth. Money is a social credit symbol that has the ability to command other people's time. If I do my job well and create value for society, society will say to me: "Thank you, because of the work you have done in the past, we owe you something in the future. This is an IOU, which we can call money."

No one can be better at being you than you.

If you can sit for 30 minutes and remain happy, you are a successful person.

Life is a single-player game. One is born alone, dies alone, and interprets everything in the world alone. Your memories belong only to you. No one cared before you were born, and no one will care after you leave this world. You exist in this world for only a few decades. Life is a single-player game.

My first priority in life is my physical health. For me, health is more important than happiness, more important than family, more important than work. My physical health is the starting point of everything, ranking first, followed by my mental and spiritual health. Then comes the health and happiness of my family. After ensuring these, I can move freely in this world according to my own will.

"There are no 'adults' in this world at all. There are just more people pretending to be mature, and thus there are 'adults'."
