The inn courtyard contracted by me and the loneliness of digital nomads

2025年9月20日

I moved to an inn yesterday, and this morning I changed to a room in the same inn with better lighting. In order to make myself more comfortable, I am not afraid of trouble when I go out.

The owner of this inn is hospitalized. There is almost no one in the entire inn. It is unattended and has self-service check-in. An aunt comes to clean it regularly.

就这样,一个独立小院基本被我包了,车还能停院门口,方便。 Diary Image

I went to Beimen Market early in the morning and bought some porcini mushrooms, potatoes, eggs, onions and eggplants, and rice, oatmeal and small yellow rice to prepare for dinner. I continued to eat light whole grains in the evening and went to the Dali No. 1 Middle School cafeteria for lunch.

It was a very peaceful afternoon. I originally wanted to go to the cafe with my computer, but there was a camping chair in the corridor on the second floor outside the door. I didn’t want to go. The courtyard was very comfortable at the moment, so I changed my mind and just stayed in the courtyard, reading and working in a daze and chatting with my WeChat friends. Wouldn’t it be nice.

When you are free, take out several pairs of shoes in the car and brush them and dry them in the sun. This is the taste of life and the taste of traveling.

A few days ago, when I was in good spirits, I went to Su Ark Future Space. There is a shared office space there for digital nomads. I was curious so I went to check it out, but it hadn’t opened yet. I met a partner who had just taken over the business and was still planning how to build this space. I met the first digital nomad who came to experience shared office. She chatted with me out of curiosity and enthusiastically mixed me a cup of wild autumn pear paste juice. It was fresh, picked from Cangshan Mountain, and looked very healthy. I just happened to go and have a cough. I was asked a lot of advice, and as a veteran digital nomad, I gave a lot of advice, from layout design to the characteristics of digital nomads, and their pain points. The layout of the tables and chairs was not good, and we couldn’t sit face to face, as if we were eating. They were not familiar with each other, and it was so embarrassing. The table was changed to a strip table along the window sill. I arranged it according to my preference. I also analyzed with her a problem that most digital nomads have, which is loneliness. Although most people in this society are lonely in nature, digital nomads are a little different. They have no work and no daily social interaction. They even lie in bed at night and find that they have not said a word today. As time goes by, they almost have a language barrier. . .

Working silently online in exchange for money feels like being isolated from society, and there is no happiness in being recognized by others and society. In essence, it is more lonely. I say, if you can solve this problem, then just like what Teacher Ma Yunma said, if you can truly solve people's pain points, the value of your contribution will be great, and valuable careers will definitely take off.

By the way, this ginger tea is really a treasure in traveling life. It is very effective in treating colds. You can get ginger anywhere. Once you boil it, drink it hot and it will be very healing. After drinking ginger tea last night, my stomach felt better in the evening. I obviously felt that I had an appetite, and I almost went out for a late-night snack.
