Until late at night, the mind cannot calm down, so I still stay up late even though I know it is not good, but I cannot change it after all. In fact, it cannot be called staying up late, it should be called enjoying the late night. At this moment, the soul finally relaxes and the brain becomes active. This is how I am. If I really don’t want to sleep one night, I can occasionally listen to my heart and don’t have to follow the rules. Isn’t it boring to do things 100% according to the rules and live according to common sense? As for the terrible disadvantages of going to bed late mentioned in various popular science articles on the Internet, just let it go at that time. If in order to prevent the body from getting sick, it causes the soul to get sick, what would you choose? Dilemma.
Coding is just an outlet for loneliness. When people are busy and lively, they rarely have the idea of writing something. Only when all the noise and complexity subsides, everything becomes quiet, and the feeling of loneliness appears together, can the idea of writing and sorting out the inner thoughts arise.
What do I want to sort out today? Let me talk about the history of the development of the domestic Internet among the public that I have witnessed. I can be said to be the first generation of Internet users. In 1998, dial-up Internet access by telephone and per-minute billing began. I have been exposed to the Internet because of work needs. At that time, in the first year of graduation, I was working in an entrepreneurial company. A young man graduated from Fudan Computer Science Department. He went to Japan to do software development for 5 years. After returning to China, he founded a system integration company with several classmates. Several classmates developed business in Beijing, and he was responsible for the development of business in Shanghai. When I interviewed him, his company did not have employees yet. The story of several of them is worth telling. I will write it later. I will not go off topic here. Anyway, after I joined the company, I also had three friends at the same time. The first time I used the Internet was in 1998. In this small start-up company, the boss asked me to go online to find drivers for customers' computers and download them. For dial-up Internet access, there is something called a modem. Every time you dial a number through the computer software, it will make a sound similar to a fax machine. Later I learned that half of this thing is similar to a landline phone, but it has an extra module that modulates analog signals into digital signals. The other part is like a phone without dialing keys. The dialing keys are in the computer software. After I dialed up to connect to the Internet, my boss smiled and said to me, you are connected to the world for the first time. It's interesting, even though some scenes are not important, you still remember them clearly after many years. Then I just searched all over the Internet, not knowing how to find it or how to operate on the page. The situation was just like asking my dad to use the computer to surf the Internet now. Finally, under the guidance of my boss, I learned how to find the driver for the corresponding model on the official website page. I remember that the Internet fee was 45 cents per minute. Not long after, I spent all my salary for the first three months of work to buy a computer. My brother went with me. It was a desktop computer and a compatible computer. At that time, you had to sit down and talk about getting a computer, because with a compatible computer, all the accessories were optional. It was combined into a computer. Unlike today’s computers, you choose one from several packages, pay for the whole machine and take it away. When buying a compatible computer, the negotiation was about which monitor to buy, and whether to choose Intel or AMD for the CPU. What frequency should the CPU have, which motherboard to buy, how big the hard drive is, how much memory, which graphics card to buy, how much video memory, etc. Most people will definitely be confused when buying computers. They are at least semi-professionals when buying computers.
