Read Schopenhauer

Today I read Schopenhauer's book that I haven't read for a long time. There is a chapter in the book that discusses uninterrupted leisure time in life. There is a sentence in it that only people with limited intelligence will feel bored in their free time. Thinking about my state of mind recently, I feel ashamed. . .

I have always admired Schopenhauer, just as domestic writers admire Wang Shuo. No one can always accurately pick out the naked essence of things, leaving your soul with no place to hide in an instant. Of course, Schopenhauer was more than a writer in his life.

I have been fascinated by Schopenhauer's books before. Sometimes his short comments on various aspects of human nature make you feel like a person you have never met, a person from 200 years ago, who understands you better than you know yourself. You can feel the one-way exchange of ideas between the author and you across time and space. This is the magical power of reading some good books.
